Olivia Silvey ’25

Olivia Silvey ’25 is the Editor-in-Chief this year. She comes all the way from St. Louis, Missouri and formerly co-ran the News section as Executive News Editor before becoming Managing Editor in spring 2023. Some of her most notable reporting at Trinity includes coverage of maladministration from College deans, the current genocide in Gaza, student protests regarding Trinity’s Title IX policy, administration’s handling of recent anti-Semitic hate crimes, and the controversial flag removal. Olivia is majoring in sociology and minoring in Italian Studies, and in her free time she enjoys reading about the Watergate scandal, watching Tik Tok edits of Rafe from Outer Banks, and listening to her “fall in Connecticut” playlist (on Apple Music, sorry). She joined the Tripod because she believes in the power of students’ voices to better their community, and wants to keep the integrity of print newspapers alive and well.

Jules Bourbeau ‘25 is a double major in history and women’s, gender, & sexuality studies and a Managing Editor for the Tripod. He loves all things involving human creativity, especially music, and writes in order to share the joy of discovery with others. On campus, he is also the Vice President of Encouraging Respect of Sexualities and runs a radio show every other Friday night on WRTC called “Footnotes”.

Savannah Brooks ’26

Savannah Brooks ’26 is a Managing Editor for the Trinity Tripod. Savannah is a first-year history major hailing from Crofton, Maryland. In high school, she was the Editor-In-Chief for The Pulse. At Trinity, Savannah is also involved in theatre productions, club basketball, and Her Bold Move. In her free time, Savannah enjoys reading and doomscrolling on Twitter.

Caitlin is a News Editor for the Tripod. She is from Connecticut and plans to double major in Human Rights and Public Policy & Law. Outside of the Tripod, she is a show host at Trinity’s radio station WRTC, a member of the planning committee for Trinity’s Film Festival, and a First Year Representative for Nest Artists. She is passionate about advocacy work, writing, and the arts.

Faith Monahan ‘24 is a News Editor for the Trinity Tripod. She is majoring Political Science and comes from Stoneham, Massachusetts. She joined the section because of the awareness it brings to events and stories that may affect students at Trinity College both on and off campus. During her free time, Faith enjoys sipping coffee, reading a good poem, and making memories with her friends.

Ava Caudle ’25 is a born-and-raised Floridian double-majoring in Public Policy & Law and Human Rights. Beginning as a staff writer for her section and progressing into an Editor role, she has grown even more enamored with both the Tripod and the privilege of working to showcase each writer’s voice. Aside from the Tripod, Ava serves the Trinity community as the SGA Budget Secretary, Treasurer of the Trinity Pre-Law Society, Habitat for Humanity’s General Body Chair, a VENTURE Mentor, and as a student employee.

Kash Jain ‘24 is an Opinion Editor for the Tripod. He is from Shrewsbury, MA, and majoring in political science. He is also involved with political organizations on campus. In his free time, Kash enjoys writing fiction, baking, and watching horror movies. He joined the Tripod because he feels it is important to have a space where students can voice their opinions.

Abbey O’Leary ’24 is a junior from Glastonbury, Connecticut. She is a Features Editor for the Tripod and a double major in English and history. She joined the Tripod as a staff writer to gain experience with journalistic writing, and pursue her interests in research, writing, and editing. She is also a member of the Pre-Law Society, the English Student Advisory Board, and the Stella Society. Throughout her high school and college years, she loved connecting her academics to hands-on and personal experiences. She also joined the Tripod to highlight different events and perspectives that help define what Trinity is as a whole. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, hiking, and going on drives with her friends.

Hannah Lorenzo ’24 is an A&E editor for the Tripod. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and has a love-hate relationship with dry heat. She is an international studies major and writing, rhetoric, and media studies minor. At Trinity, she is also the General Body Liaison for the Asian American Student Association and the Vice President of DEI for The Women’s Network. She loves to write stories that delve into the diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and people around the world. From Filipino pop music to local arts events, she is always inspired to write about people’s creative ideas and projects come to life. In her free time, you can find her enjoying boba and a good sci-fi novel. She also likes to figure skate for exercise (she used to be a competitive figure skater) and explore the best places for brunch. Her vision of joining the Tripod stemmed from her love of writing and reporting ever since she was Copy Chief of her high school newspaper. She hopes to revive storytelling and reporting as valuable ways of communicating with our community and the world.

Annika Dyczkowski ’25 is a Sports Editor for the Tripod. She is from Milford, Michigan, and is pursuing majors in economics and political science with a minor in rhetoric, writing, and media studies. Annika is also a member of the women’s ice hockey team on campus, as well as a member of the Pre-Law Society. She is an avid enjoyer of reading, running, film, and music. Annika joined the Tripod in order to acquire journalism and media experience, as well as to fuel her passion for storytelling and creative writing.

Cece Hampton ’24 is a Sports Editor for the Tripod. She is from Framingham, Massachusetts. Cece is pursuing a major in American studies, with a minor in formal organizations. She joined the Tripod to explore and gain experience in the realm of journalism. On campus, Cece is a barista at Peter B’s and is involved in Greek life.
